Update

Obviously I am not blogging anymore... I should have known it wasn't for me... I am fairly technologically delayed. I will be posting pictures to my flickr account at this address... http://www.flickr.com/photos/43370615@N07/?saved=1

sorry...

Sorry everyone... I haven't spent much time in my sewing room lately! WOW, spring is busy. I am missing my sewing machine. It has been fun to see my progress here... April was a good month. I need to make a list for myself of things I NEED to get done in these busy spring/summer months. I have a sister-in-law that is supporting my habit... thanks Andrea! Your things are at the top of the list!

After I finished the last little skirt I posted, I decided that my sewing room needed some major attention. I had fun folding and sorting and finding some things I didn't remember I had! When I first saw my mother-in-law's stash of fabric I said to my self that I would NEVER have such a mess of fabric around... lesson learned... never say never! :) I love my stash!

I have gotten a few little projects done. I have made myself two fun summer skirts and a top that is questionable... looks a bit maternity, and I am not ready to be asked when I am due! ;) I have also been working on a throw out of the same fabric as the tablerunners I posted previously. It needs a bright, wide border to finish it off, but I really love how it has turned out so far. I plan to stipple it myself... I am a bit nervous, but I think it will be a good way to learn. I posted a picture of a "practice run". I don't know if you can see the swirls on the fabric... my machine is so, so fun! I am envisioning a whole stack of quilts one day!

Thanks for looking again after all of this time has gone by... I cannot promise when I will post again, but hopefully it will be soon!

More Mary Engelbreit...

The previous tablerunner I posted has a little sister. I had some leftover squares, so I stitched this cute little runner/wallhanging... I am thinking it is pretty cute hanging on these hooks. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Friends and Flowers tablerunner

I just love this line from Mary Engelbreit... it is called "Friends and Flowers". I have had most of this tablerunner done for about a month, but didn't quite know what I wanted to do with the border. I added this ric rac and I really like the finished product! I was able to do the binding today while the kids were enjoying the fairly nice weather outside. My sewing is definitely going to slow down as the weather improves... the picture of Morgan was taken around 8:30 this morning... Mason is already outside and she isn't happy about it!

Today's naptime projects

The kids took loooong naps today, so I had lots of time for sewing. The bag is a knock off of an Amy Butler pattern. I haven't perfected the handles... they are pretty bad, but it will work for a garbage for our Suburban. I love the skirt... it is fun for spring/summer. I wish I had enough for a matching skirt for me!

Yet another apron... pink ribbon goodness

I found this fun pink ribbon fabric and thought of our county's relay for life auction. During the relay there is an auction of goodies to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We see so many battling cancer these days... we see the sadness it brings, but also amazing strength of human character.

I love this pattern.

Orange cream and key lime pie... another yummy apron

I seem to be in a rut... another apron. This is for my mom. I love this fabric by Sandi Henderson. It is so refreshing. Mom likes to hang her apron in the kitchen and this is bound to brighten things up! Enjoy!

Today... a very fun, flirty apron for you Dawn!

I have had so much fun sewing this apron for you Dawn! Thanks for the opportunity. I appreciate your business! Please remember I love to SEW... not photograph... these pictures are really quite sad. The colors haven't been captured... green, brown, fuchsia, lavender and teal. I hope you love it.

Congratulations Seth and Amber!

We had a fun bridal shower for Amber on Saturday morning. We are so happy for these two... they make a great couple. Here are a couple of photos... the gift I made Amber and two of the corsages. I love this apron pattern because it is reversible. The pattern is by Sew Liberated and is called the Emmeline apron. The flowers were really fun to put together... I realized while making them that they really aren't Amber's style, but she was a good sport! Enjoy the photos! Thanks to Kirsti for modeling...

We are dreaming of spring!

I have a few projects that I NEED to get to, but these spring fabrics wouldn't be ignored! I have made a few random outfits for M in the past, but she is getting quite a few "mommy made" outfits for spring. I don't do knits well, so all of the t-shirts are store bought and embellished. SEW FUN!!!

Skorts...

This is a sweet "mommy and me" matching set.

I better get to my list while my kids are sleeping!

blogging... well not really, more like sew and tell!

Well, here I am... blogging. I LOVE to sew, as many of you know. I decided this would be a good place to share with anyone who is interested. I hope you enjoy! I love this picture... it reminds me of my favorite season... fall! This was one of my first attempts at quilting. I will post a few of my projects from the last couple fo days soon.
